This build makes updates never restart the app on their own, adds a What's new dialog, lets you import people lists into chats and channels, and gives Chat a more compact top.
New
- A What's new dialog lists each release's New, Improved and Fixed items, and a notice after an update links straight to it.
- Preferences › About shows your version and channel, with clear update status, progress and Try again for errors; Check for updates and the version are in the account menu.
- You can import a list of people from pasted text, typed names or a file when creating a chat or channel, or adding members.
- Typing several names in a people search offers to find all of them at once.
- Chat has a new Unread filter, and Ctrl+K or ⌘K jumps to the chat search box.
- Search in this conversation looks only at messages in the open chat.
Improved
- Updates never restart the app on their own; a downloaded update waits behind Restart to update or installs when you quit.
- Open at login now keeps your choice after updates.
- In Create a channel, Import a list is now the first row, above the fields it fills.
- The chat list has a more compact top, with the search box in the header and Threads, Mentions, Saved and Unread in a tidy grid.
- The conversation header is simpler: the member count opens members, and Pin and Unpin are in the ⋯ menu.
- Mentions offers the conversation you have open first.
Fixed
- The chat list now ends flush with the bottom of the window instead of stopping slightly short.
